The Federal Benefits Unit (FBU) located in the U.S. Consulate General Ciudad Juarez accepts applications for Social Security, Railroad, Veterans Administration and Office of Personnel Management benefits for residents of the states of Chihuahua, Tamaulipas, Nuevo Leon, Coahuila, Durango, Sonora and Baja California Norte.
The FBU at the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City accepts applications for Social Security, Railroad, Veterans Administration, Office of Personnel Management, Department of Labor and Department of the Treasury benefits for residents of the states of Michoacan, Guanajuato, San Luis Potosi, Queretaro, Hidalgo, Veracruz, Tlaxcala, Estado de Mexico, Mexico City, Morelos, Puebla, Guerrero, Oaxaca, Tabasco, Chiapas, Campeche, Yucatan, and Quintana Roo.
The U.S. Consulate General Guadalajara FBU covers the states of: Baja California Sur, Sinaloa, Nayarit, Jalisco, Colima, Aguas Calientes, and Zacatecas.
