“Ask the Consulate” Telethon: A Success.

A team of vice-consuls and consular staff answered the questions from the television viewers.

A total of 1,092 calls were answered during the 7 hours marathon.

On Thursday December 8, Consulate General in Matamoros in collaboration with the local Television Station Televisa Noreste, hosted a seven hour Telethon during which more than a thousand TV viewers were be able to call and ask questions regarding the services that the Consulate General offers to the general public.

Live and through a special program broadcast, a team of vice-consuls and consular staff answered a total of 1,092 calls from the general public during the successful 7 hours of continuous telephone service. 

“We are proud of this great event, where we had the opportunity to answer more than a thousand calls and where we were able to reach thousands of viewers and refer them to our different points of contact including our webpage, our facebook and our email MatamorosVisas@state.gov” said Consul General Michael Barkin after the event.
